WELS 120 Catching All of the Z's: An Introduction to Napping

Students will learn how to read the complicated signals their body sends about energy needs and transform their environment into an area conducive for dozing, relaxing, and extensive lounging.

Course Description

Prof Moseph Smith Molnicki Mo has the following tips for aspiring Zzz catchers:

  • Have once taken a successful nap
  • Look forward to taking 1 or more naps in the future
  • Engage in discourse about the life value of napping
  • Own, or have access to, a couch
  • Be willing to challenge their self-awareness to investigate their napping typology

Prof Moseph Smith Molnicki Mo has the following comments about the syllabus: "
1) Why is napping important?
2) What does napping mean to you? How does it add value to your life?
3) A History in Napping, including popular unknown answers like "who took the first nap" and "where does the word NAP come from?"
4) Lifestyle choices that are nap friendly.
5) Panel discussion from around the campus of favorite naps and best practices.
6) Introduction to napping typology, including pre-nap and post-nap routines, and what your desired napping location says about you.
7) Threats and challenges of completing a successful nap.
8) From Spongebob to Sugar Crashes: How to power down."

Prof Moseph Smith Molnicki Mo's final exam involves a presentation of how students identify with course material, and how they can incorporate theory into practice to solidify their own personal guidelines for successful naps.

Prof Moseph Smith Molnicki Mo presents the following qualifications for this course: "I have taken many naps. Also, my first name is Moseph, which is better than any other name."

Students will be graded on the following criteria: as this class is so progressive, it does not follow the traditional methods of academia and "grades". Rather, students learning will be assessed through a spectrum of approving gestures. The students success assessment increases with the intimacy of the gesture. The scale of gestures, from lowest to highest, is head nod, thumbs up, handshake, high five, and hug.
