GDSN 202 Creating a Video Game

Students will learn an overview of creating a video game with free online tools.

Course Description

Prof Dan has the following tips for aspiring creators:

  • Choose between 3 different types of game makers
  • Learn their own language
  • Program sample games for free

Prof Dan has the following comments about the syllabus: "Learn to make small or large games. I suggest making games featuring your friends so they will enjoy playing them."

Prof Dan's final exam involves creating a video gameand emailing the link to Prof Dan at dan [@] choustore [.] com. If it is a good learning example, Prof Dan will post it as a student example on this course page for others to see.

Prof Dan presents the following qualifications for this course: "I created a game using RPG Maker VX Ace that was a crazy blast. Play the Non Traditional Keygullz Return free below!"

Students will be graded on the following criteria: learn one of the games and create a game. The more fun the game, the better the grade.
