FOOD 111 Kitchen Preparation Basics

Students will learn the basics of kitchen prep, including slicing, dicing, and mincing.

Course Description

Prof Marci has the following tips for aspiring culinary artists:

  • Love food preparation

Prof Marci has the following comments about the syllabus: "Lessons on the following: Slicing. Dicing. Flat Top Grilling. Frying."

Required Materials
Each student must own a copy of the iOS game Order Up! The game is free. Information about installation can be found here: http://www.chillingo.com/game/order-fast-food/

Prof Marci's final exam involves students playing through a day at the restaurant in the iOS video game Order Up!

Prof Marci presents the following qualifications for this course: "I'm an expert in Order Up! and own and operate all of the restaurants in the game. I've also won the Fortified Chef challenge 3 times and have been crowned champion."

Students will be graded on the following criteria: grades are correlated to the ratings given by the in-game rating system of Order Up!
