In the year 0158 of the Toward Stars Calendar, the universe has three groups striving for power...
The Space Forces, attempting to bring law to a lawless space. Part police force, part military, they protect the space lanes from pirates and criminals alike.

The Pirate Guilds, divided themselves, but more powerful than anyone wants to admit. Posessing superior technology, limitless wealth, and powerful Tao magic, the Pirate Guilds seem unstoppable.

Finally, those known only as Outlaws. Not an organized group in the sense of the others, but rather a group of individuals cooperating out of neccessity in the cold depths of space. Some seek fame, some seek treasure, others seek revenge... but they are Outlaws because of what they crave most:
adventure.
Adventure is not something that can be bought.  Other wise Outlaws would have had their share of it without a care.  Instead they must forge the unknown territories of space and find their own unique sorce of adventure.  For Gene Starwind, this is space itself.  Tramatized as a child, gaining courage as an adult, he has stumbled upon a type of luck that will forever change his life.  This luck is a living starship.  The X-GP15A-II navigated by a strange girl who knows nothing about her past.  Now Gene and his crew of outlaws must take to the stars confronting adventure head on and learn more about the universe itself than anyone has ever known before.
