POKEMON
THE ADVENTURES OF ASH, MISTY, AND BROCK
In our last chapter, Ash ran into some trouble.  No, make it double trouble.
Team Rocket tried another attempt to capture Pikachu.  It seemed to work,
but their carelessness foiled their plans.  Ash is in really deep water because
now the police are looking for him for resisting arrest.  So now he’s hiding by
the Pokecenter.  Well now, let’s take a look at how Brock and Misty are
doing on there Blaine challenge.
They were standing in front of the gym.  Brock and Misty wanted to see
who would get to fight Blaine first, so they battled.  Two pokeballs each.
“Brock, watch as I defeat you with only one pokemon that moves!  I’ll have
one of my Pokemon be Sea King.  He can’t move on land!”
  “Go Onix!”
  “Starmie, go!”
“Onix, use rock throw and scare away her Starmie!”
“Stamie use spin tackle and reflect the rocks he throws!”
“All right, then, that didn’t work.  So.....hmmm?”
  “Yes!  Starmie, use hydro pump!”
“Hey!  You got to wait for me!”
“Sorry.  This isn’t an official match and I’m taking advantage of it!”
  “Grrooonniixxx!”
“Onix!  Return!  O.k.  Then go Zubat!”
“All right, then Starmie, use water gun!”
“Zubat, use super sonic!  Ha!  Starmie’s confused!”
  “No!  Stamie, don’t hit yourself!”
“Ha!  Now feel my wrath!  Zubat, use super fang!  Yea, yea!”
“No!  Stamie, return!  All right.  Then go Sea King.”
Misty’s Sea King flopped and was taken down with another super fang.
Brock did a little dance and was over joyed.
They walked inside and through a long corridor.  It was totally empty except
for a faint light at the end.  Eventually they reached the light and discovered
that it was the gym room.
“All right, now where are you, Blaine?”
“Maybe he’s not here.  Aww, to bad!  Guess you can’t get that...”
“Can’t get WHAT,” shouted a voice.  “Well I guess your here to earn a
badge from me, huh?  Well prepare to feel the power of FIRE!”  Up from
above a man jumped down and landed into the battle square on the pokemon
battle field.
  “Two balls each.”
He brought out a pokeball and threw it.
“All right!  Go, Onix!”  Onix towered above everyone in the stadium.  Brock
thought this was going to be an easy badge because rock pokemon are
protected from fire attacks.
“Ha!  An Onix is no match for an Arcanine!  Go!”
“O.k., Onix use rock throw ,like we always do first, and scare his sissy
Arcanine away for an easy badge!”
“Easy badge?  Ha, ha, ha, ha!  Arcanine, use flamethrower and melt his
rocks!”
“What!?!  How could you do that?  All right, then use tackle!”
“My Arcanine is at his highest training level, so his strength is superior!
Arcanine, use agility!”
“Onix, he dodged!  Counter-attack with bind!”  Onix circled Arcanine and
started to squeeze him.  Arcanine soon fainted!
  “Ahhh!  No!  O.k., go Charizard!”
  “Onix, use harden!”
  “Yea, Charizard, use slash!”
“Onix!  That’s o.k.!  Fight it!  Use rock throw!”  This time Onix’s rock
throw worked and Charizard ran away making Brock the new Cinnabar
Island Gym champion.
  “Ha, Misty, beat that!”
“I’ll will!  My water pokemon are really strong, and if I used my other
pokemon against you, I would have won.”
“Wait,” said Blaine,” I got to bring my pokemon to the Pokecenter.  I’ll be
back in a while.”  Two hours past and Blaine hadn’t shown up.  A janitor
came in and started to close the gym down.
“Hey, what do you think your doing?”
“I’m closing the gym.  Blaine just quit.  He said that a kid beat him, hands
down, and that the girl next to him had even stronger pokemon, so he
couldn’t go on knowing that his pokemon were beaten by kids.”  Just then,
Blaine walked in.
“What?  I thought you would have left by now!  I got to get some of my
things.  Out of my way!”
“No way!  Not until you battle me and I earn a badge!”  Misty was really
mad and her face was red.  Blaine started to walk out.
“Starmie, go!  Use spin tackle and knock him out!”   Starmie tackled Blaine
and he fell on the floor.  Badges flew everywhere and Misty grabbed a hand
full of them.
“Come on, Brock!  Let’s get out of here!”  The janitor was scared that he
might be next, so he hit the button on the wall that would close all the doors
and lock them in for the police.  Brock and Misty ran through the hallway
with the doors in the hallway closing right behind them.  Each door was five
feet apart, so if you were to slow you would be trapped in a tiny space.  They
saw the exit up ahead and ran for their lives.  Misty was ahead of Brock and
ran out the door, but Brock wasn’t going to make it. the last door was closing,
so he made a jump attempt.  He flew out and his shoe was slammed on by the
door.
“Ahhhhhh!  Did I make it?  Yes I did!  I’m alive!  Yea!  Yea!  Yahoo!”
“Come on, Brock.  Let’s go wait for Ash and Pikachu at the Pokecenter.”
So they went to the Pokecenter when Ash saw them and popped out of the
bush with Pikachu behind him.
“Hey guys, there you are!  I need your help!”  They walked into the building
and saw posters with all their faces posted all over the counter tops.  Even
Pikachu’s face was a main attraction.
“You see what I mean?  Wait, last time I came in, your posters weren’t up.
What did you guys do?”
“Look, Ash.  We won’t tell you what we did and you won’t have to tell us
what you did.  O.k.?”
“Yea, all right.  Let’s get these posters off the counters now!  No one’s in
here yet.  Come on!”
“Hey, I know something that will really help!”  Brock reached into his
backpack and brought out a bottle of 100% Pure Cerulean Water.  He opened
the bottle and poured the water on the posters.  The pureness of the water’s
nutrients melted the glue that held the posters and they peeled them all off.
“We got to get out of this town by tomorrow.  It’s to late to run now.”
Brock’s wise decision was accepted by all and they went to seek a back ally
hotel.  How will our heroes hide from the police force?  What happened to
their “fighting for justice” side?  And will they be able to escape tomorrow
morning?  Yes, even these questions will be answered in the next hiding
chapter of Pokemon!
