| POKEMON THE ADVENTURES OF ASH, MISTY, BROCK AND ERIKA In the last chapter of Pokemon, Misty had fought Gengar. When Team Rocket appeared, Pepper’s father came to the rescue and wiped them with Farfetch’d. Later, Alice told them to meet them by the gym to go to a secret gym. “Awww. These beds are so soft! What a great night!” Ash woke up. “Ooooo. I slept like a rock!” Brock woke up. “A, ba, ba. These beds feel just like the vine beds back home at the gym!” Erika woke up. “Grrr.... I can’t believe I slept on the floor all night. I feel like I slept on a bunch of Geodudes!” Misty woke up. “All right, guys. Get up already. We got until 2 pm to do what ever we want in this town. Right now it’s 10 am.” Ash got out of bed and walked over to the mail slot by the door. In there was the bill. Ash looked at it. “WAAAA!!! Look at this bill! $2,500!?! Are they crazy?! I only have $1,500 left out of all my money! We got to get out of here!” “Let me think.” Erika decided to be in charge of the escape committee. “I know! Let’s use my Victrebell to make a rope of vines and climb out the window!” Erika released Victrebell. Victrebell made a vine rope 30 ft. long and it just barely made it to the ground. They were on the top floor. They climbed down with Brock in the lead, followed by Misty, Erika, and Ash. When they reached the ground, they slyly tiptoed out of the hotel grounds and into town. They shopped for a while for mainly pokesupplies and extra food for the trip ahead. A couple hours, and a few police car scares later, they headed to the Celedon gym to meet Alice. When there, they waited for a while until Alice showed up. “Let’s go quickly before anyone sees us.” When they first entered the forest, it was clear and calming. But about the time they got to the middle of the forest, it became dark and difficult to navigate. Little or no light shone through all the trees. Not a bird sang, or even a squirrel scurried. A little after a half hour, they reached a fishy looking tree. “This is the entrance to the gym. It’s underground and dangerous. Lift that tree root over there and you’ll find the way in. I got to get back before anyone notices that I’m gone. Bye, and good luck to you both, Ash and Misty. Your going to need it.” Alice then began to run back to the Celedon gym. They lifted the tree trunk and found the passage way she had talked about. It was a stairwell to who knows where. It looked as if it lead to the ends of the earth. They started to walk down the forsaken tunnel, when Erika took one last look at sunlight for what would be a long time, and possibly their last. After what seemed like hours, they reached the bottom of the stairwell and looked at the dreary underground path ahead. It was a narrow corridor with walls of mud and a light gravel floor. The deep corridor’s light source was dimly lit with a single light bulb every couple of feet attached to an electric wire. They could only see in front of themselves at a maximum of ten feet. After that, it was all darkness and they could only imagine what lies ahead. The feeling that came to mind as they walked down the ghostly path was that a giant earthworm or monstrous mole might break out of the wall on either side of the hallway. The sense of enclosure was also overwhelming. The corridor gave about 4 and a half of room from side to side. You could easily scrape your arm or leg on an exposed rock which quite often jutted out of the sides of the corridor. They walked for what seemed to be about five minutes of hopelessness. In the dark dungeon, there was no way of telling how much time was passing. When the corridor began to get exceedingly long, they started to think that maybe there wasn’t anything at the end. Maybe this was all a trick! A trick played by Team Rocket to try and defeat them again after their defeat at the Celedon gym. This was seeming certain until they came upon a fork in the road. Now it seemed that there must be something important here to hide in order to put a fork that could lead you to your doom or glory. “Well, where are we supposed to go from here? I don’t see how we’re supposed to know.” Ash was puzzled and started to ponder the problem, when Pikachu stood on his hind legs and sniffed the air. He immediately screamed, “Pika!” and took of in the left direction. The gang followed him with Ash in the lead as fast as they could, for if they lost him, it would be a dreaded turn of events. First Pikachu ran and then he broke into a sprint. It was almost impossible to keep up with him, but a yellow electric streak was tailing from him like a comet. Pikachu used agility and the electric streak became longer. Now they could see him easier. The only problem was that he was going faster than the electric streak, so it slowly pulled away from Pikachu’s followers. They went through many corridors and almost as many more forks. It was, in all, a maze that would be completely impossible to solve unless they had Pikachu. Ash was trying to keep an eye on Pikachu, as not to lose him, when all of a sudden he disappeared into the darkness. The cave had swallowed Pikachu and there was nothing that anyone could do about it. Ash and the rest of them would have to find their own way now, and that’s exactly what they tried to do. They stumbled and bumped their way through the cave with little hope of getting out. They constantly got lost and ran into many more dead ends than they should have. It seemed that even when they backtracked themselves accurately, they would still end up in a dead end, which wasn’t where they started. This circumstance alone made them think that there was more then meets the eye. Just like the others, Ash was extremely confused by the matter. “You know, there’s something not right about us getting into this many dead ends. I don’t know what it is but I know that there’s something we don’t see. What could it be? Dang, we just got to get out of here!” “Hmm. You know what if none of this is real?” Brock suggested. “What? Have you gone mad? Brock, you’ve touched these walls yourself. The walls aren’t in our imagination! I can bet you on that!” “No, no, no. You’ve completely missed my point. I mean yea, this is real, being underground, but these walls aren’t. What if these walls are just like the landscape that were in my gym back at Pewter City? Remember? In my gym I had a giant battlefield that I made myself. They weren’t real rocks on the ground. In fact it wasn’t real soil or earth on the ground of it either. It was all light-weight aluminum and plastic. It sure did look and feel real, though. Right? So I’m guessing that these walls aren’t as real as they look and feel.” “You know, Brock, you might just be on to something. Let’s try to break a dead end down and see if it’s a fake wall. Yea!” They all turned around to find a dead end they had saw a while back, when it turned out that they had just walked through one. The corridor that they were walking through became a dead end. It’s impossible to walk through walls, right? So how can there be a wall there? “All right. This has gone too far.” Ash looked up to the ceiling and yelled with rage in his eyes, “You lead us in here, you got us lost, you took Pikachu, and now you think you can lock us up? I don’t think so. We’re getting out of here. SO WATCH OUT!!!” Brock then released Golem and instructed it to ram the wall in front of them. BOOM!!! The wall came apart and exposed another, much larger room. It was a square room that looked as if was used for storage. There were no lights in here. The only light was that of the light bulbs that were on the outside hanging in the hall. The walls, indeed, were fake. In that room there were other fake walls. The walls were actually real rock, but they were very thin and weak. They were supported on the bottom with wheels so they could be pushed into place quietly. Then the wheels would be taken away. “So this is how they did it. We would have never of guessed. Thanks Brock. Your the real hero this time.” Over in the corner of the room, where a fake wall was leaning against the real room’s wall, a faint sound came and a familiar yellow face appeared. “Pika!” Pikachu ran to Ash and Ash scooped him up from the ground. “Aw, Pikachu, I missed you! We’re together again so now we can take on anyone! All right, gang. Let’s go and teach the trainers in this place a lesson in hospitality to strangers.” A door on the opposite side of the room was opened easily and what they saw made their fighting instinct come to life. It was a whole city underground! “Oh my gosh!” Misty exclaimed. “Ash, could you ever had guessed?” Ash wasn’t looking at Misty. He was staring down at the gym with hatred in his eyes. “They think they can make fools of us? No way. We are the Pokemon Masters!” Ash has decided to take the gym by storm and is now determined not to let anything stand in his way. How will his strategy work against all these thugs? Does he and his friends really have what it takes to take on a whole gym? Could it be a team effort that may spawn the next Pokemon Master? Keep reading for answers in the next chapter of Pokemon! |
