Sasami herself has no powers, but when she links herself to Tsunami, it gets bad for every villian around her.
One interesting thing about Sasami is that she probably would have had all the Powers of Jurai like her sister if she had not died early in life (OVA). When Kagato send Ryoko to attack the Jurai Palace when Sasami was very young, a ship rammed the palace and Sasami fell off a high platform to her death. Tsunami, near Sasami when she was dying sensed it and gave her part of her life energy. Now Sasami has the powers of Tsunami but cannot use them unless Tsunami takes over. When she grows up, though, she will become Tsunami and they will be one person and mind.
Sasami has the simple buddy line of good and evil characters. If your a bad guy, she fears you. If your a good guy, she likes you. She mainly follows the opinions of the older characters around her and just observes their actions. The only contridiction to this rule is the case in Tenchi in Tokyo where Sasami befriends Yugi, the main villian. Yugi likes Sasami so much that she would never let her come to any harm. When she becomes friends with Sasami she finds a whole new world of friendship that she never had. Yet she is still the most powerful and evil villian with every one else. Sasami doesn't realize that they are the same person until the end of the series.
Sasami simply fears the bad guys. Only in the Tenchi spin off Pretty Sammy does she have a real nemisis which whose name is Pixy Misa. Learn more about this in the Secret Sammy Page.
